<image:title>news - Girls in STEM Career Talk and Quiz Competition!</image:title>
<image:caption>We are beyond honored to have been part of the Ojo Girls in STEM Program, thanks to an invitation from SSA Amina Lawal, on behalf of Hon. Seyi Sowunmi. This incredible event brought together brilliant young minds from across Nigeria, empowering them to envision a future in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). It was truly inspiring to see the passion, curiosity, and enthusiasm radiating from these young girls as they explored the possibilities in the world of STEM. As part of the program, we hosted a career talk and engaged the students in a quiz competition, where they had the opportunity to test their knowledge and problem-solving skills. Throughout the event, we shared insights into various STEM careers, from engineering to computer science to data analysis, helping the students realize that the opportunities in these fields are endless. The quiz competition brought out the competitive spirit in the students while reinforcing their growing knowledge in the STEM disciplines. At BGIT, we are deeply committed to supporting initiatives that promote STEM education for girls, and our involvement in the Ojo Girls in STEM Program went beyond just attending—it was about actively engaging with the students, sharing knowledge, and fostering an environment where they felt encouraged and empowered to pursue careers in these fields. We believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to excel in STEM, and events like these are essential for sparking that interest and building confidence in young minds. Seeing these girls so excited about their potential in the world of STEM was incredibly rewarding, and we look forward to supporting more programs that encourage and uplift girls in education and beyond. Thank you to SSA Amina Lawal and Hon. Seyi Sowunmi for the opportunity to be part of such a remarkable event. Together, we are creating a brighter future for girls in STEM.</image:caption>

<image:caption>In the month of June, @BGITNigeria had the pleasure of once again partnering with @visitahospitaltoday for an impactful outreach event in Ijora. This collaboration allowed us to provide much-needed healthcare services to the local community, reaching individuals who may otherwise have limited access to medical care. The team worked tirelessly, conducting blood pressure and diabetes checks, as well as offering treatment for various ailments and providing medication to those who needed it. One of the key focuses of this outreach was preventative care—empowering the community with the knowledge they need to take control of their health and well-being. Blood pressure and diabetes checks were an important part of the day, helping to identify potential health issues early on and offering guidance for ongoing care. Additionally, individuals who were experiencing minor health issues were treated and provided with the necessary medication to improve their conditions. A heartfelt thank you goes out to @rene_noire and the incredible @visitahospitaltoday team for their continued dedication and tireless efforts to improve healthcare access for underserved communities. <image:title>news - Inspiring Future Tech Leaders: BGIT’s Career Talk at Atlantic Hall School</image:title>
<image:caption>The BGIT Team recently had the wonderful opportunity to visit Atlantic Hall School in Epe, where we spent some valuable time with the students discussing the diverse and exciting career paths in the tech industry. We were excited to share insights on how various subjects, from Law to Art and Literature, can open doors to innovative careers in tech that many might not immediately consider. At first, the students were a little taken aback by the idea that fields like Law, Art, and Literature could lead to careers in UX Copywriting, UI Design, Motion Design, and even Tech Law. But as we delved deeper into the discussion, we highlighted how these seemingly unrelated fields are increasingly becoming vital components of the tech space. For example, UX Copywriting and UI Design require creativity and a strong understanding of human interaction with digital products, while Motion Design brings digital products to life through visuals. Meanwhile, Tech Lawyers play a crucial role in ensuring companies and their users are protected, helping businesses navigate the complexities of intellectual property, privacy laws, and user agreements. The students quickly realized that tech careers aren’t just for those with a background in engineering or computer science. The beauty of the tech world lies in its interdisciplinary nature, where talents from various fields converge to shape the future of digital products, services, and experiences. It was inspiring to see the students light up with excitement as they began to recognize that their own interests, skills, and passions could seamlessly translate into a fulfilling tech career. We left Atlantic Hall School feeling incredibly energized and hopeful for the future. It’s clear that the next generation of leaders is ready to break boundaries and chart new paths in the tech industry. We are proud to have been part of their journey in discovering just how diverse and inclusive the world of tech can be.</image:caption>

<image:title>news - Giving Back to the Community: BGIT’s Outreach with @VisitAHospitalToday</image:title>
<image:caption>Giving Back to the Community: BGIT’s Outreach with @VisitAHospitalToday This past weekend, the BGIT Team had the privilege of joining @visitahospitaltoday for an impactful outreach event aimed at supporting those in need. We spent the day helping to pay medical bills and offer assistance to individuals facing financial challenges when it comes to their healthcare. It was a truly humbling experience to witness firsthand the struggles many individuals face when trying to access basic healthcare services, and it was an honor to be able to provide some relief to those who needed it most. While @BGITNigeria’s mission is primarily focused on boosting tech literacy and empowering young women in Nigeria through digital education, we are also acutely aware of the broader socio-economic disparities that many face daily. We believe that access to resources is a fundamental right, and that includes both digital tools and basic healthcare. Our commitment to improving the lives of young women extends beyond the digital space, as we understand the importance of creating a holistic approach to empowerment—one that ensures the well-being of individuals in all aspects of their lives. This outreach was a powerful reminder that while technology plays an essential role in shaping the future, we must also pay attention to the immediate needs of our communities. Access to healthcare, education, and economic resources all intersect to help people lead healthier, more prosperous lives. It’s essential that we continue to support initiatives that bridge these gaps, and we are proud to partner with @visitahospitaltoday in this effort. Thank you to @visitahospitaltoday for your continued dedication to improving healthcare access and your support in making this outreach possible. We look forward to continuing to serve the community in meaningful ways and building on this foundation of support and care.</image:caption>
